Trained Brantford and Camp Borden. On 30 June 1942 he married Helen Marion Stevens of Thorold, Ont. Overseas Jul 1942. One daughter, Helen. Surv wife and child, parents, Mr. Mrs. Robert George Downes , Thorold. Mrs. Lillian M. McCrae, father- and mother-in-law, Mr. Mrs. John Stevens of Thorold.
