Interesting Facts

  • Born in Winnipeg. Educated at Earl Grey and Kelvin High Schools and Western College, Winnipeg.  He was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity. An outstanding athlete, at seventeen he was a leader at the YMCA Camp Stevens for Boys. He played Juvenile Hockey for the Panthers and later for the Monarchs in Winnipeg. He was a member of the Crescent Fort Rouge United Church for whom he played on the S.S. hockey and basketball teams. Enl. Winnipeg 12 Sep 1939. Became a PTI with PPCLI. Unm. Surv. Aunt, Miss Elma Keane of Winnipeg.
