  • Being considered for promotion to sergeant, Arend was posted to RCAF Fingal on 25 Nov 1940, the day before No.4 Bomber and Gunnery School was to open there.

    The first Luxembourger to serve RCAF. Born at Trois-Vierges, Luxembourg, m. Virginie Krein 1925, one child, Pierre. enl.Toronto 20 Oct 1939, was Aero Eng. Mechanic Trenton and St. Thomas. Accident at Fingal 7 Dec. 1940, died from effects, St. Thomas 26th Dec.
