Son of Henry and Eva Sheff of Wallaceburg, ON. Brother of Stoc. John Sheff, RCNVR, Andrew, Norman, Mary Hellen and Gerald at home. Also brother of Mrs. Gladys Jackson of Chatham ON and Mrs. Beatrice Ives of Islington ON. His uncle Capt. J.B. Sheff of Chatham was also serving in France. A native of Wallaceburg, Francis attended Our Lady of Help Separate School and the Wallaceburg high school.
