Interesting Facts

  • E Field Battery: Latimer was the only Canadian killed in this action at Faber's Put while 8 comrades were wounded by enemy shellfire, 6 severely. John Neild was woundewd by a shot from the British Yeomanry's Colt machine-gun and later died of his wound at Kimberley.
