  • Born at South River, Ont. Attended South River and North Bay Collegiate Institute. Hobbies, Fishing, hunting and outdoor sports. Worked in lumber manufacturing. Enl. Toronto Oct 1940. Trained at Brandon, Calgary, Regina, Fort William and Moose Jaw. Overseas Jul 1941 to serve in 401 Sqn RCAF. On an operation shortly after being recommended for a commission, while on his way back to England from France he was attacked by enemy planes and collided with another plane, both machines exploding in the air. Surv. Parents, Mr. Mrs. TA Duff at South River, brothers FO JB and LAC JR, both RCAF. and a sister, Helen K. Duff, Toronto.
