Interesting Facts

  • The elder son of Mr. Mrs. EC Craig. Livedfour years in Richmond, BC and graduated Richmond High School. Avid sportsman and attended Brighouse United Church. Moved to Saskatoon to work at a radio station. After enlistment, posted as corporal wireless operator to RCAF No. 11 Bomber- Reconnaissance Squadron (antisubmarine) at Dartmouth, NS. Killed when flying on an S/R op with four others in Lockheed Hudson 782 (B14L-1785) looking for curtiss Bolingbroke (9007) and four crew missing from Station Glace Bay, NS, when at 1140 hrs in poor visibility plane hit a radio tower on Sable Island, NS.Surv. Parents, and a sister, Mrs. Norman Gregory of Lulu Island, BC.
