    Born Ridgetown, Ont., Ridgetown HS where Gold Medalist 1934. Then Haileybury Sch of Mining where he enjoyed sports, esp skating and skiing.. Empl.Hollinger Gold Mines, Timmins, Ont. Enl. Sudbury June 1940.Commissioned 21 Dec. 1940. Trained Malton, Jarvis, Rivers, MB.Overseas by 6 Feb 1941. More than 20 missions over enemy territory as Nav/Observer. On 17 Aug 41 plane failed to return. Only Wireless Op survived. Unm., Surv. family at Ridgetown, Ont.
