About Us
Although most of our dead are buried abroad, this project will bring our fallen home. This is not a war memorial – it will not take the place of local cenotaphs or memorials that already exist. It is a tribute to the many men and women who gave their lives for our freedom.

COMMUNITY MEMORIALS
The Community Memorials Programme is one of the NWORA’s secondary objectives to help communities across Canada to either repair/refurbish their local community memorials or build them if they do not already exist. Hundreds of memorials have been built in small towns, villages, and cities across Canada, especially after World War I, and many are in need of repair.

EDUCATION OUTREACH
The Education Outreach Programme (EOP) is aimed at establishing a living memorial to the Fallen in the minds and hearts of young Canadians across the country. The EOP partners with the “Lest We Forget Project” to connect stakeholders with local boards of Education, to consider researching a local or family-related member of the Fallen as part of their educational program.

FLAG PROGRAMME
The National Wall of Remembrance Association is committed to honouring our nation and fallen by ensuring that a Canadian Flag is proudly flown above the memorial daily. Additionally, we offer individuals and groups the opportunity to have a keepsake Canadian Flag flown on a specific day of their choosing, creating a meaningful and personal connection to this significant site.
