"Hamilton, Hammy as he was called by his family, is the brother of my Grandmother, Margaret McKechnie-Smith deceased in Aug 1989. Hamilton also had a brother named John, deceased 1987. He was the only member who died during the war. I have his enlisted photo and flag along with some other mementos. I visited Le Masion House in Normandy on June 6th 2018. He is and always will be a hero to me."
