Born at Eagle Bend, Minn., USA. Grad Waverly, NY High School, Waverly, NY. Served four years US Navy. Discharged to Arizona where he learned to fly and obtained a commercial pilot's licence. Moved to Norfolk, VA. Rejected by US Naval Airforce for lack of college education. Enl. RCAF May, 1941 and received pilot training. After Christmas at Waverly, proceeded overseas 6 Jan 1942. Unmarried and surv by mother, Mrs. Helen V. Deckers, Waverly, NY. USA.
