Interesting Facts

Pte. Moffat was officially reported taken as a prisoner of war on December 12 1916. He survived the ordeal, only to die of pneumonia aboard the HMHS Formosa during his homeward journey. His brother Robert, two years older, had joined up in May 1916. He was killed on the Western Front in April 1917 and was buried in France.
