Interesting Facts

Private Frank Donald Aish died at Vimy Ridge on April 9, 1917. He was born on October 22, 1897 and grew up to be a farmer in England. He listed his occupation as Farmer. He enlisted in the Canadian Infantry on January 17, 1916 under the name Frank Donald Johnson. He was killed by shell fire during the attack which resulted in the taking of Vimy Ridge.

His next of kin was listed as his adopted father C.E. Johnson of Halls Prairie, British Columbia.
