Born at Anyon, BC. An excellent student, he matriculated from Ladysmith High Shool. He also received a "commercial training." Enl. 29 Dec 1940 at Vancouver and began training. 20 Sep 1941 married Lorraine M. Squire, by whom he was survived in Calgary, AB.
