Faits intéressants


  • Leading Stoker JM Laing was reported missing when a five-minute glider bomb attack on a Canadian naval patrol in the English channel killed one member of his fellow crew members aboard the Canadian frigate Matane. Laing was one of three missing crew members and 11 others were injured. The May 29, 1945 edition of the Hamilton Spectator called this attack "one of the Luftwaffe's dying thrusts." A report confirming L. Stoker Laing's death was later submitted.
