  • Born at North Sydney, NS., HS N. sydeny and Grade 12 Sydney Academy. Hobby, photography. Enl. Sep '41 while working at Bank of Nova Scotia. Trained Toronto, St. Jean, Que., Victoriaville, Chatham and Moncton, where he was commissioned and received his wings, 5 Dec 1942. To GB in Jan '43, began ops over europe attached to RAF flying Typhoons. Wounded when plane hit by enemy fire over France and died of wounds after forced landing in England. Surv Parents, Mr. Mrs. William Amey, Arthur, Mrs. Roy Murray, Mrs. James Forsey, Mrs. Clifford Hiscott, Jean, Gerald and Gloria of North Sydney, and the Rev. William C. Amey, BA of Juniper, NB.
