  • Born at Hartland, NB. Diploma at Hartland High School. Active in all school sports; hobbies building model aircraft, hunting, fishing and boating. Farm implement dealer at time of enl. Nov, 1939. Trained at Manning Pool, Toronto and Dartmouth. Overseas June 1940 to No.1 Fighter Sqn, RCAF. Fought valiantly in Battle of Britain. Returned to Canada Aug, 1941 to be instructor at Pennfield and RockCliffe. Surv. parents, Mr. Mrs. Frank L. Dickinson, Woodstock, NB., brothers Clarence and Wendel and sister, Patricia, all RCAF., sisters and brothers at home. Father a First World War veteran.
