  • Born in Sudbury, Ont., Attended Separate and High School and graduated Business College in Sudbury. Hobbies, hockey, bowling, badminton, hunting.Worked for large wholesaling concern. Enl. North Bay Jan. 1941. Trained at Toronto, Picton, St. Thomas, Portage la Prairie and Brandon. Overseas Nov. 1941 to RCAF 425 Sqn (Les Allouettes). Awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross by HM the King for outsanding service when he safely brought home a badly damaged aircraft after operations over enemy territory. Surv. mother. Mrs. Leda Doucette of Sudbury; his twin brother PO Leo with Canadian Pacific Airlines Edmonton, Mrs. Ted Wideman of Toronto, and Lilianne of Sudbury.
