  • Student at Punnichy, Sask HS when he enl April 1941. Hobbies, carving and modelling wood.Keen sportsman, skating, hockey, Curling. He was interested in music and took part in local concerts. Proceded to Manning Depot and Brandon. Trained further at No.3 Wireless School, Winnipeg and went on to Macdonald, where he graduated. Reported Halifax 10 Oct 42. Arrived in England early part of November to take advanced training and begin ops over Europe. On night of 6 Apr 42, with his regular crew and other members of his squadron he took off to bomb the enemy. His aircraft was never seen again and no word heard.
