Born at Waldeck, Sask. Attended Swift current Collegiate. Worked on parents' farm. An avid old-coin and stamp collector and a keen gardener. Enl. Canadian Army May 1941. Remustered to airrcrew a month later at Regina and trained at Brandon, Regina, Fort William and Uplands. He was stationed at Dafoe, Sask. and was killed in an air collision there 23 Jul 1942.He had been drafted for overseas service but while at Halifax in March 1942 illness prevented it. While home on sick leave he was posted to Dafoe, where he met his death.
