Interesting Facts

  • Son of Isadore Frederick and Jessie Schwalm of Bruce County, Ontario. Pte. Schwalm was killed just before the start of an attack east of Cachy, France where he received severe shell wounds in the right elbow and left shoulder. He was evacuated to a nearby Casualty Clearing Station where he succumbed to his wounds later that same day.
