  • Henry was born in Grangegorman, County Dublin and in the Irsh Census of 1901 lived in Merchant's Quay, Dublin, with his mother Elizabeth and his brother George. Mother was a widow and Henry was a Drapery Clerk in Dublin. In the 1911 UK Census he is noted as a soldier with 1st Battalion of the Connaught Rangers in in Punjab. He would have completed his active time in the Army and emigrated via Glasgow to Canada in 1913. He was possibly recalled to the Army, being a Reservist, and went France on 7th of October 1914 only to die near Ypres on 11th of November 1914. He left his brother George his estate of 13 Shillings, approximately 65pence Sterling.
